Sistema de enseñanza de excelencia y vanguardia
Since 2000 to this date, the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Course has produced excellent results. More than 15 residents have graduated, and an average of 6 to 10 temps, both domestic and foreign, have arrived every year.
In 2004 and thanks to the recognition of the Division of Postgraduate Studies of the Faculty of Medicine, UNAM (Mexican Autonomous National University), we achieved university endorsement, as part of the program of postgraduate courses for physician specialists.
The course is designed to give the physician a cognitive learning of the physical, technical and theoretical principles to diagnose different diseases using magnetic resonance imaging in head and neck, thorax, abdomen and pelvis, cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system and spinal cord.
As well as psychomotor learning, which will help him/her to perform, interpret and diagnose an MRI, differentiating a normal from a pathological study. Finally, affective learning, which will be key to providing a friendly, respectful, warm and humane treatment to the patient.
Furthermore, Médica Sur, aware of the need for specialists at the forefront, offers two of the highest developed technology MRI equipments for practices: The (GE) EXCITE HD 1.5 T, is constantly updated to the same level of the newest generation equipment, and the (GE) EXCITE HDx 3 T, twenty-first century technology.
With duration of one year, upon course termination, the physician is awarded with the Division of Postgraduate Studies. Medical Specializations Branch. Faculty of Medicine. UNAM.
